"This sculpture consists of 2 pipe segments, which present an “S” in outline form. This wave form stands for movement and dynamic, the basis for every innovation. This material – stainless steel – and the synthetically manufactured precious stone balls symbolize a high technical ‘know-how’ of many resident businesses in Sauerland. The color blue of the balls connotes the water of the valley dams and the rivers there, which are characteristic of the region and were the foundation of the industrialization of the Sauerland."
